Riya Sen is one of the bold and beautiful Indian film actresses and models. She is from Kolkata.
Her motherm, Moon Moon Sen is one of the famous and talented Bengali actresses. Her grandmother, Suchitra Sen who was one of the post popular and beautiful actreses in India. Riya Sen’s sister Raima Sen is also a well-known actress in Bengali cinema.
Riya Sen started her acting career with the fiil ‘Vishkanya’ which was released in 1991. in this film, Riya Sen appeared as a child actress. Her first commercial hit film was ‘Style’ released in 2001. She appeared in the Tamil film ‘Taj Mahal’. Her most successful film was ‘Jhankar Beats’ where she played a small glamorous role. In 2005, she appeared in the film ‘Shaadi No.1’ directed by David Dhawan, a reknowed film director in Bollywood. Then she acted in few more films such as ‘Div Vil Pyar Vyar’, ‘Qayamat’, ‘Plan’ etc. where she had very small roles. She took part in numerous Item songs in Bollywood films. She appeared in Sajid Khan’s film ‘Heyy Babyy’ in 2007.
Riya Sen also appeared in so many films of different languages like Hindi, Bengali, English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
‘Taj Mahal’, ‘Good Luck’ was some of her Tamil films.
Her first English film was ‘It Was Raining That Night’. She appeared in Bengali film ‘The Bachelor’
‘Ananthabhadram’ is one of her most successful Malayalam films. The film won many film awards.

Riya Sen became a popular model when she acted in a number of music videos for songs by some of the most famous singers. Riya Sen first appeared in the music video ‘Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi’ by Falguni Pathak at the age of 16. Then she appeared in few more music videos such as Asha Bhonsle and Jagjit Singh’s ‘Jab Samne Tum’ and ‘Kahin Kahin Sen’, Lata ji, Asha Bhonsle and Jagjit Singh’s ‘Dil Kahin Honsh Kahin’, Asha ji’s ‘Jhumka Gira Re’, Sonu Nigam’s ‘Jeena Hai Tere Liye’, Shaan’s ‘Sutta’ etc.
Since then, she appeared in music videos, commercial advertisements in television, fashion shows and on popular magazine covers.
Riya Sen was the cover page model of some popular magazines such as Femina, Elaan, Man’s World, Savvy etc. She participated in so many fashion shows. Gradually Riya Sen has become one of the biggest sensations of her generation in India.
Riya Sen completed her schooling from Loreto House and then she completed her graduation from Rani Birla Girls’ College under the University of Calcutta. She did a course in Fashion Designing from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. She is also trained in Kathak dance. She knows kick boxing as well as belly dancing.
